LICENSED GENERAL CONTRACTOR, FLORIDA
Your licensed general contractor for any scope.
One general contractor overseeing the whole project: permits, design, scheduling, and every trade on site, across residential builds, commercial build-outs, and everything in between.
What we general
contract.
As the licensed GC of record, we run the project start to finish, whether that's a homeowner's addition or a commercial tenant build-out.
RESIDENTIAL
Homes, additions & remodels
From a ground-up build on a bare lot to a second-story addition or a gut-to-studs kitchen remodel.
- Ground-up home construction
- Multi-story additions
- Kitchen & bathroom renovation
- Structural wall removal & layout changes
- Window & door installation
COMMERCIAL
Build-outs & renovation
Tenant improvements and office renovations delivered on the landlord's or tenant's timeline.
- Tenant build-outs
- Office renovations
- Structural concrete framing
- Large-scale commercial projects
- Core & shell to finished space
As general contractor, we also directly manage the specialty trades a project needs (roofing, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC), so they run under our contract, not a separate one.
How a project runs.
Five stages, one contract, one crew of subcontractors we've already vetted.
Walkthrough & estimate
We assess the site, talk through scope, and put together a written estimate at no cost.
Design & permitting
We finalize plans and pull the permits your municipality requires before anything starts.
Trade scheduling
Framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC are sequenced so no crew waits on another.
Build & inspection
Work proceeds in stages, each signed off before the next begins.
Walkthrough & handoff
A final walkthrough, punch list, and close-out. You get one finished, inspected building.
Recent work.
Project photos go here as jobs wrap. These cards are built and ready for them.
Full kitchen remodel
Broward County: gut renovation, new layout & plumbing.
Two-story custom build
Stone & stucco exterior, custom entry tower, motor court.
Exterior renovation
New facade cladding, window trim, exterior paint & paver driveway.
Remaining cards are placeholders until more project photos come in.
What clients
are saying.
Real words from real clients, nothing written for them.
"We interviewed four builders before choosing Timothy to build our home. Best decision we made. He treated our budget like his own money and the house is rock solid."
Liam C., Miami, FL
"Timothy is an incredible contractor, I've worked with dozens in my 20 years as an architect. He is at the top. I strongly recommend Construction People to anyone seeking a GC to construct their house."
Stephen K.
"We had a really great experience with our basement project. They kept us updated through every step. Material costs ended up a bit higher than the original estimate, but we worked together and agreed on a fair final price. The person on our project was clean, friendly, and respectful of our home. We love having the extra space and would definitely recommend them!"
Maypa V.
"We really enjoy working with Timothy and his team! The job sites are highly organized and well run. I highly recommend this small business. We look forward to more projects together."
Kala Diederich
"Timothy from Construction People was great to work with. They remodeled a bathroom for me and I'm so pleased with how it turned out. He was super helpful with questions I had around design and other technical details. I also had them update a couple older windows and they did a great job on that project too."

Questions people
ask us first.
The things that usually come up on the first call, answered before you have to ask.
We hold Florida License CGC1518452, Certified General Contractor, active since 2010. You can verify it yourself at myfloridalicense.com, the state's official DBPR lookup. We'd rather you check than take our word for it.
No. As general contractor we contract and schedule those trades directly under your project agreement. You sign one contract with us; we handle coordinating and paying the subcontractors.
On-site estimates are free and typically scheduled within a few business days of your request. For most residential projects you'll have a written estimate within a week of the walkthrough.
We do. Permitting is handled as part of the design & permitting stage, before construction starts, so the project is inspected and legal at every stage rather than retrofitted to pass later.
Yes, our CGC license covers all of Florida, so we take on residential and commercial projects statewide, not just locally.
That's still a project we'll take on. Smaller, single-scope jobs like window or door installation don't need a full remodel attached to them.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
One contractor, every trade it takes.
The Construction People Inc. is a licensed Florida general contractor running residential and commercial construction directly, and holding the contract for every specialty trade a project needs, so there's exactly one point of accountability from the first estimate to the final inspection.
"You shouldn't need a project manager just to manage your project manager."
Operating principle, The Construction People Inc.
What we hold ourselves to.
Four commitments that apply the same way on a kitchen remodel as they do on a commercial build-out.
-
01
Single point of accountability
One contract and one project lead, even when four different trades are on site.
-
02
Licensed & insured trades only
We hold Florida License CGC1518452, Certified General Contractor, active since 2010. Every subcontracted trade (roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC) is vetted before they're on our roster.
-
03
Written scope before work starts
No verbal change orders. Scope, cost, and timeline changes are documented before work proceeds.
-
04
Built to inspection, not around it
Work is staged to pass inspection the first time, not patched to pass it eventually.

Acceptance of terms
By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who we are
The Construction People Inc. is a Florida Certified General Contractor, License CGC1518452, active since 2010, serving residential and commercial clients statewide. We perform ground-up construction, home additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, structural and layout changes, and window/door installation directly, along with large-scale commercial projects, tenant build-outs, office renovations, and structural concrete framing. Roofing, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work is contracted to separately licensed and insured trades under our direct oversight.
This website is informational, not a contract
Content on this site, including project types, service descriptions, and the cost ranges on our Services page, is provided for general information only and does not constitute a binding quote or contract. A binding agreement for construction work exists only once both parties sign a separate written contract specific to that project.
Estimates
On-site estimates are free and carry no obligation. Figures shown on this site are general planning ranges; your actual project cost depends on scope, finishes, permitting, and site conditions, and is only finalized through a written estimate following an on-site walkthrough.
Licensing & subcontracted trades
We hold Florida License CGC1518452, verifiable at myfloridalicense.com. Every subcontracted trade working under our contract is independently licensed and insured before being assigned to a project. Where a project requires it, we handle permitting as part of the design and permitting stage of the process described on our Home page.
Payment & deposits
Deposit amounts, payment schedules, and cancellation terms are set out in your signed project contract, not on this website. Our general approach to deposits and cancellations is summarized on our Refund & Cancellation Policy page, but the signed contract for your specific project governs.
Intellectual property
The text, design, photos, and graphics on this site are the property of The Construction People Inc. or used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without our written consent.
Limitation of liability
This website and its content are provided "as is" for general information. Workmanship warranties, project-specific guarantees, and liability terms for actual construction work are set out in your signed project contract, not on this website. We make reasonable efforts to keep site information accurate but do not guarantee it is error-free or uninterrupted.

Where this site links to third-party resources, such as the Florida DBPR license lookup, we are not responsible for the content or practices of those external sites.

LEGAL
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 2026
How this applies to construction projects
We are a construction services company, not a retailer, so "refunds" here mean deposits, cancellations, and change orders rather than product returns. The specific terms for your project are set out in your signed written contract; this page summarizes our general approach.
Estimates & deposits
On-site estimates are free and carry no obligation. Once you accept a written estimate and sign a contract, a deposit may be required before work begins. Deposit amounts and timing are specified in that contract.
Cancelling before work starts
If you cancel before any work, materials, or permitting has begun, your deposit is refundable minus any costs already incurred on your behalf (such as design work, engineering, or permit fees already paid).
Cancelling after work starts
Once labor, materials, or subcontracted trades are committed to your project, cancellation refunds are limited to the value of work not yet performed and materials not yet purchased. Materials already ordered or installed, and labor already completed, are non-refundable.
Change orders
Changes to the original scope of work are documented as a written change order before proceeding, with any cost or timeline impact agreed in writing. We do not proceed on verbal change requests.
Disputes
If a disagreement arises over a refund or cancellation, we will work with you directly to resolve it based on the terms of your signed contract before considering other remedies.
Contact us
Questions about a specific project's deposit or cancellation terms should reference your signed contract first, or contact us at tim@theconstructionpeople.com or (954) 225-1744.
